👤This product is not worth buying. It is made of brittle plastic and can crack when you screw it to it. I used a hand screwdriver and tightened it slightly more than snug, and the plastic cracked at two of the four screws. After drilling extra holes, I was able to attach it to the ceiling, but I found out that the handles on the fishing poles were too large to fit through the holes. It took about an hour to make my own, it works great.

👤Don't waste your time or money if you use flimsy ties to mount to the wall, the plastic is brittle and the holes are too small.

👤The plastic is too small to hold any rods. I wouldn't recommend this item at all.

👤The item is very cheap and can't handle rods without getting tangled on each other.

👤The product is not what the person wanted. Will not hold fishing poles. Don't buy this!

👤The garage door was mounted with the rack. I can't put all my rods because my door opener isn't strong enough. These holders are easy to install.

👤I was excited for these to come in and organize my collection. The foam in the photos does not look like it did when I put my rods in. The foam in the photos looks very close to what I received. I put the top piece below the first eyelets on the rods so that the rod is thicker where the foam hits, and the rods still fall out because the foam is not supportive. I was able to pull the foam out on one side to help hold the rods in, but I wish it would have worked on its own.

👤We fish a lot. There are over 70 rods that were always stacked against corners. We had to go through several stacks before finding the rods we needed, and we were always looking for specific rods. I wanted to see how we liked them. We now have 10 total and love them all! I put them up myself because it was easy to install. I ordered a size that fit all of the rods.

👤I like these. I got the wider version so there is more space between the rods. I can't imagine getting the narrower ones. The wider one would fit rods and reels.

👤It was shortened to make it easier to ship from overseas. The product is made of plastic and foam. The holes are 13 inches apart. Adding an additional strip of wood is not a solution for wall anchoring. I wanted a solution that didn't require me to go to the home store to pick up more supplies. Our friends overseas have a bust. USA studs are on the center.

👤It seems nice. They may have changed the design because of the reviews complaining about loose foam. It was too tight for the kids to use. If you want to drill straight into your studs, you should use a 16" version.

👤My husband's fishing rods weren't leaning on things in the garage. He likes to open the garage door and see the rods on the wall. It was easy to install and a great surprise for him.

👤There is a problem with the small plastic mounting tabs. The plastic tabs will crack if you tighten the screws too much. They are not large enough to last. I am a mechanical engineer and the tabs should have been larger, made out of a more durable material or have metal sleeves on the back. I helped the seller design a better product. There are two mounting tabs on one side and one on the other side. I think I will be replacing the unit soon.

👤Like this product. Does as advertised. If you try and store 5 rods with all reels attached, you'll have to change the rotation of each one. Straight lineup is not allowed due to reel width.

4. Redneck Convent Fishing Vertical Display

Redneck Convent Fishing Vertical Display

The rack is 13.75"L x 13.75"W x 30"H. The Redneck Convent Fishing Pole Vertical Floor display rack has a standing storage area for 16 rods and reels and is practical. Easy to read instructions with a diagram are included. Assembly screws are included for your convenience. Universal for all rod types and combinations. 1.5” diameter holders for all fishing pole sizes, can hold 8 rods or combo on either side, 2 handles for easy carrying and transportation, and a fish design on both sides of frame.

Brand: Redneck Convent

👤I agree with reviewers who said the rod rack was less sturdy. The unit is remarkably strong with some patience and careful attention to construction. I was skeptical when I opened the box. The unit becomes much stronger when it is assembled, especially with the bottom brace in place. There is only one side of the rack. The three reels shown are huge and heavy saltwater rigs. My heavy duty 9/0 Penn Senator is one of the two rods with 4/0 Penn Senator reels. The reel is large and heavy and balances nicely in the rack. There are five spinning rod and reel rigs on the other side. This is ideal for keeping rods upright. It's a great way to keep rods safe from rod guide mortalities.

👤It was difficult to put together. I have put my fishing rods on this setup, from conventional to 8000 series tarpon setup. All my reels and baitcasters. It's better to have everything against the corner wall in the spare room. Take your time putting it together. It's all good with me that some will be close together.

👤I didn't know what to expect from a $25 rod rack, but I did expect more than this one offers. It is a very cheap plastic. The two sides of the fish need to be screwed together, the top of the fish is hollow and the bottom is plastic. I had to make my own because my rack didn't come with pre-drilled holes. I had to glue the top to the bottom because 2 of the prongs melted. The light assembly was advertised as finished. The instructions it came with were not very helpful. It is a piece of paper that states what should come in the box and a picture of the rod rack completely assembled. Key word should be in the box. The diagram shows a beam running from one side of the rack to the other. I think it would have been useless to add to the strength of the rack if it had been hollow plastic. Don't buy cheap for the sake of being cheap, if you have expensive equipment like I do. You can buy a solid wood rack at your local Bass Pro Shops, Cabelas, Sportman's Warehouse, etc. Protect your equipment by spending the money.

👤This is not rated very high. The more stickers you have the better. It looks and works well. It is very strong and holds all my rods. I have some weird rods. The plastic is cheap, but once screwed together it is a solid piece. It took a few minutes to make it work.

👤It looks nice. The small bar was snapped after I tried to set it in place. I knew it was soft plastic. I would probably only get one chance to tighten everything, I snugged every screw down at a time before committing to fully screw everything down. The spacing rod snapped. I wish I could have used all the parts that I intended. I was able to place my 5 spinning rods on one side and my kids 2 spincast rods and my other 2 baitcasters on the other. I don't see why the rack would be a problem. I thought I had enough, but now it looks like I don't.

Brand: Calamus

👤I bought 3 sets of these for my husband. I think it cost me $65. I looked at many different types and this was the one that had the best reviews. The Eva foam is used to hold the poles. This is a great way to get all of our poles up off the floor. They used to lean against the wall. This gave my Husband a lot of space back in his shed, which is nice and neat. I would definitely recommend them.

👤If you have baitcasters on the rods, you will have to skip a holder to fit them properly, so be aware that these are good rod holders. They will push on each other if not.

👤These are not the best rod holder, but they work. The foam is stiff enough to hold the rods but not sure how long it will last. You can use them as two individual units if you slide them together. This is a good deal for the money.

👤It's easy to get to each rod when I go fishing with this thing, it looks good with all of the rods on it. It was easy to install, just a couple of screws. It's easy to use, just put the base of the rod in the base and snap the upper part of the rod in the top section.

👤I put them inside my dock box. I used heavy duty Velcro. It worked out well.

👤I use these holders to hold my golf clubs.

👤They seem to have a tight grip on the pole. I will be happy if it stays that way. I put it in my baggage compartment. Thin walls make it difficult to tell what is on the other side.

👤This product was the perfect way to get those rods out of the corner. Several rods were damaged when I stood them in the corner. The rod holder solved my problem.

7. Rush Creek Creations Fishing Ceiling

Brand: Rush Creek Creations

👤Don't get it wet, it's laminated particle board. It doesn't look bad, but it's not as nice as in the pictures. I bought two sets of rods to hang. I could have built nicer ones if I had waited a bit longer to get them. They put a sticker on the product that was nearly impossible to remove and had to use alcohol to remove it. I would give it 4 stars, but it took about an hour to get that sticker off each one. The screws that came with the kit looked cheap, so I used my own.

👤I knew these were made of laminated particle board, but I had to make my own because it would have cost me more and taken a lot more time. I am glad I bought these. It only took a few minutes to install 2 sets of these on my garage ceiling. If you don't do pullups on them, these will last a long time. I used the screws that were included. If I get more fishing rods, I will buy another set.

👤I bought a similar rod holder for my son, and wanted to get one for myself. I saw this one, and it was very similar. It's a piece of garbage. It's flimsy, covered with thin laminate, and it's terrible. I was installing it when it broke. I don't want my money back. I want to remember the lesson.

👤If you're thinking about getting a rod rack for holding any fishing rods other than a child's Batman or Wonder Woman rod and reel, I would highly recommend you pass on this rod rack. The pressed particle board that is used to make these racks is not the right size to hold anything close to an offshore rod. I tried to post pictures of the cracks in my rack before I put a rod on it. There are pictures of the cracks. There is no way to post pics for this product's review.

👤I had to wait a few weeks to get the insulation pieces from the company. It was difficult to get out of the old screw that was stuck in the holes when I tried to install it, it must have been a return purchase or pre-used because it was stuck in the holes. The wood looks really cheap. I had a hard time getting the anchors to hold in my wall, they kept spinning and it was a nightmare. Do not buy this product.

👤I thought it was a great idea for under 20 bucks, but when it arrived in the mail, it was very flimsy. I don't think the stuff is made out of MDF either way, I should have gotten a piece of three-quarter inch plywood a holesaw and done this myself, which is what I had to do after trying to install this piece of garbage and snapping it in my hands.

👤Simple design, and probably not hard for someone with wood working tools to make themselves. I recommend this product for those of us who don't have the time or tools to make a rack. I mounted this to the ceiling, using dead space. I finally got my fishing gear out of the corner of the garage, thanks to the great quality. I found my measurement to be slightly less than the installation guide suggests, so make sure to put a measuring tape to it before drilling your holes.

8. StoreYourBoard Fishing Rod Storage Rack

TheTILE RACK is great for all your gear. TheTILE RACK is great for all your gear.

Brand: Storeyourboard

👤The rod rack is simple and cheap.

👤The product is sturdy and affordable for holding fly rods. When the snow falls, I will switch out to snowboards, but don't see any issues.

👤It's easy to install and it's a great way to store fly rods.

👤It is easy to install.

👤Excellent product. It holds a lot of rods.

9. KastKing Patented Vertical Fishing Holder

KastKing Patented Vertical Fishing Holder

There are gift ideas. The magnetic tool is a great gift for men and women who want to expand their tool collection. It is ready to give to someone. The Innovative Patented Design of the fishing pole holder makes it easy to use and store up to 15 fishing rods or fishing rod and reel combo in less than 18” of wall space. Innovative. The KastKing V15 vertical fishing rod rack can hold up to 15 rods or combo in less than 18 inches of wall space. Most brands only have 6 combo in the same amount of space. Rods and combo can be mounted virtually anywhere along the length of the rod, allowing reels to be staggered at different heights for minimum storage space. The innovative design of the fishing pole rack is easy to use. Push the rod firmly into the large or small v-grooves until the grip material grabs it. The rod can be hung with the thread wrapped line guides above the v-groove. The reel can be attached to a 12” rod. To remove your combo from the fishing rod rack, grab the rod near the rod rack and pull out. The KastKing V15 fishing rod holder is made from a tough material which is resistant to heat, chemicals, and impact. The v-grooves are injected with a tacky thermoplastic material to make sure rods and combo are held securely in your rack. The V15 fishing pole rack has three mounting holes. Two holes are on the center of the wall. To install the rack, you need to determine the correct mounting height for your poles, install one of the outer screws into a stud, level the rack and mark mounting holes, anchor for center mounting hole, re-level rod rack and tighten all screws. The V15 fishing rod rack will save space.

Brand: Kastking

👤I have a small space and a high garage that make it hard to store my rods. I ordered the V15 and was able to put my rods in a secure area. The rubber stuff that the V have is strong. I'm definitely thinking of ordering another one.

👤I don't know why this is so good. It is a one piece rack that holds up rods. I put up a penn rod and reel combo and it slid down. If the rod guides were resting above the V, it would stay up.

👤The rod racks were taking up too much space in my garage and were getting in the way. There is a The KastKing 2 pack is 30 dollars. The rod holder gave me more space in my garage. The kit has instructions on how to install and mount to the wall. The design holds the rods in place.

👤I've purchased quite a few of the KastKing products. I needed something to organize the rods in the corner of my garage. The design is great and I liked how many rods were able to fit as other products similar to this usually only hold around 6. It was easy to install and I didn't need to use the two holes on the sides that were lined up with studs. Simply screw it in to the wall with the included hardware and you're done. I had an issue with the rods falling and landing on the floor as I put them into the slots. I had to push them harder into the rubber to hold them, but with more flexible rods, I was worried about them breaking. The design needs work, but I like the idea. If you put the rod to far away from the reel in the holder, it will not stay, it will be hard to get it to close to the reel. I have figured out how to get it to work. It takes a lot of time to move the mount. It works well once you patch the small holes.

👤I just bought my first couple nicer rods and needed to organize so the order arrived on time. It took me about a minute to grab my impact drill and sink the three screws provided in the wall, but I used one of the three drywall anchors included for middle whole. The side holes are 16 in each other and sunk into the wall. The rack is made of plastic and comes in a V shape and U shaped slots for thicker rods. This seems to be a product that is made to last and looks very sharp on the wall.

👤If you have spinning reels attached, you can fit more rods on there than they claim. There is a The rubbery material that holds the rods seems to be of decent quality. It has "memory", which means that with use the rubber gets permanent indentations where the rod is held in place. This started happening on my computer after a few months of use. I don't like that it takes a little force to get a rod out, and that it doesn't prevent the rod from falling if the rubber ever loses its grip. I think the rubber will lose its elasticity at some point, but I don't know how long.

10. RackEm 7009 Overhead 12 Rod Fishing

RackEm 7009 Overhead 12 Rod Fishing

The rack is 22.83"L x 14.37"W x 23.74"H. Fight damage and increase accessibility by organizing your rod collection. Not affected by sun or salt. There is a mount in the garage, basement, boat house, camp or cabin. It holds all the fishing rod shapes. The construction is heavy-duty steel and has a width of 4 inches. The components include fishing rods rack, mounting hardware.

Brand: Rack'em

👤A perfect solution. I wanted to see if they would fit my plans. I bought a total of eight because they looked like what the doctor ordered. I put them over the garage door to keep them out of the way. The arrangement made it easy for me to get my fishing rods off the floor. I would recommend these to anyone with similar plans. Attached are photos.

👤The product is very good but overpriced. People are complaining about no instructions. There are not many ways to mess up hanging these. If you took the reels off or didn't mind having to fight them in and out, you could get 12 poles up with this. I use it for 6 rods and reels. Each set of hooks is about 5 feet apart. My counter reels are about 6 feet wide. The six rods fit nicely in the rack, but you have to adjust the reels to make them fit. It's still easy to get them in and out. It is a simple design and should last a long time. I put this rack over my boat so I don't have to worry about breaking rods when I come home. I can hang them up.

👤I don't do much fishing anymore, and I wanted to keep some of the rods that I used when I was a kid. I like that the rack mounts up high, the rods are easy to put up, and the coating on the rods keeps them from getting scratched. If I fished every day or week, I might want a rack that is set up on a wall or in a turret, but for rod and reel storage, I don't see how this rack can be beat.

👤If you only had a few boom sticks with big reels and saltwater rigs, it would be hard to fit the full amount up there. You will be fine if you just staggered them a bit. I didn't have to worry about my rigs fitting up there. Most of the large rigs are mid-sized bass rigs. Everything fits perfectly and is out of the way of the foolery of family and friends that may be trampling through the shed. I love this rack. The metal construction is very strong and soft on the hardware. Highly recommended.

👤This is my second set. The hooks on the first set were the same size as the ones on the second set. The design of the set has changed, but it still has alternating large and small hooks. I mounted these to my garage ceiling backwards so that a small hook would line up with a large hook on the opposite side. It encourages you to store your rods in alternating directions. I don't think I have enough room to install more, but if I did, I would order more of these. I like having my rods up out of the way. My rods don't get dusty where they are mounted.

👤I installed this in about 5 minutes. I was able to keep 12 large fishing rods. The mount is used for my catfish, striper, and sturgeon rods. The reels areStaggered. I read that it is not the most robust storage, but it is the only one that supports the weights of fishing poles and should last forever. I'm buying 2 more for the rest of my fishing gear.

11. Dr Fish Fishing Vertical Horizontal Ceiling

Dr Fish Fishing Vertical Horizontal Ceiling

The size of theRACK is 34.17" L x 3.21" W x 1.46" H. Excellent gifts. Both strong and durable. There are 6 fishing rods in the store. Best gifts for men and women are comfort and convenience. The high grade plastic is made for long life in the weather. One-piece construction is machine cut and forged. The foam padded edge is to prevent scratching on the rod. The seats are large enough to fit different size rods. The base grip holder takes the pressure off the blanks. It's easy to mount in horizontal or vertical. The measurement is 42 cm long. The interlocking design makes it easy to expand the rack.

Brand: Dr.fish

👤After 3 missed delivery dates, I had to look at other options. I know why the Dr. Fish ones had the best reviews. Simple, yet well built, takes up minimal space and install was a piece of cake. Excellent product!

👤Product works. They think you won't have reels on your rods because they are too close together and it's hard to fit them all in without skipping spots. These are pricey for what they are worth.

👤The rod holders are very small. Soft foam grips the rods. Very secure. The foam is very soft and there is no risk of damaging the rod. They don't do well with ice rods. These would hold anything you put into them. I have fly and saltwater rods. A good product.

👤The local Wood Craft store sells overpriced wall holders for my lathe tools. These work well for this purpose.

👤I ordered two of the racks and mounted them to store my rods. They were easy to mount. They fit perfectly to allow them to be screwed into the studs. If you want to remove the rod, you should grasp the rod at the top brackets and pull it out. If you want a high quality product, I would recommend this.

👤These are worth the extra money and are much better than the Berkley ones.

👤The wall unit is heavy and strong. The issue is that the rod positions may be too close together. I think this is true for all products of this nature.

👤The racks are large enough to hold my rods. I might have ordered the wrong size. If I push the rods into the tighter slot, they still work.

👤It's easy to install. The rods have a secure fit.
