The coating protects against UV rays. The lens width is 60 millimeters. The lens height is 45 millimeters. The bridge is 15 millimeters. Costa's 580 Polycarbonate has high clarity, impact and scratch-resistance along with lightweight all day wear-ability.
👤The rubber on my nose has deteriorated. I went to get my shades fixed. I can't log on to the website anymore because of the warranty info. I read a lot of forums. It appears that costa was bought out and they are giving the runaround for the warranties. If you can reach someone. Costa's is no longer for me. I am sad that the company I once loved is no longer around.
👤It was very comfortable and solid. I will not leave a bad review because it doesn't fit my face. Great sunglasses.
👤The stem was too big for the "Chums Original Cotton Sta...iner Colors, American flag". Costa must include at least one Eyewear Retainer at their price point. There is room for a competitor who would provide a life time of retainers foryal customers. I want to join in as a competitor to a group that is too big for their britches.
👤I was skeptical about costa sunglasses and always wore Rayban. I had a bad head ache after about 20 minutes. I can wear them all day long and not have the glare of normal glasses. If you're on the fence about buying or the price, just do it. Don't leave them laying around because they will be picked up.
👤I bought these glasses for my friend and they were the most clear and sharp glasses I have ever seen and I am very happy with my purchase. I have never spent more than $20 on a pair of glasses before, and I took a gamble that I will live long and prosper.
👤The pads on the nose were rough and unfinished. Looked great, but not comfortable to me.
👤Picked up a pair of sunglasses for less than what was offered online. My wife says that these have a very California look to them. Costa has great quality.
👤It's perfect for fishing in low light situations. You can see fish in the water with these glasses. It's perfect on cloudy days and at sun rise.
👤Is this the real deal? The plastic and rubber meet in a rough spot where one of the lens' popped out.
👤Producto te protege, pero es una sesin.
The coating protects against UV rays. The lens width is 62 millimeters. The lens height is 41 millimeters.
👤The price was too good to be true. The silver C on the arms was a little off in color, the rubber pieces didn't line up cleanly with the plastic, and the counterfeit pair was a little off in color. The right lense was etched with 580, the glasses case looked legit, the packing material was pretty convincing, and the lense itself was pretty clear. When put next to the genuine article, there were discrepancies. Costa told me that they don't sell their sunglasses on Amazon. Costa isn't selling you their glasses at 50% the usual price here, but there are legitimate retailers selling them.
👤The glasses were not real. The trademarks were incorrect. There were incorrect 580p identifications on the lenses. Lettering on a frame was not consistent with Costa del mar. I immediately returned them.
👤The blue mirror tuna alleys were purchased from Amazon. Com. Costa purchased the green mirror tuns alley on the right side a year ago. There are differences on the inside of the frames. The Blue Mirror say it was made in Italy. Costa makes frames in Italy. Someone can verify this for all the sunglasses experts. There is a metal screw in the hinges in picture 3. The ones purchased directly from Costa look smaller. Is it possible that someone could verify these are authentic? I have read that Costa offers a global fit and I have a feeling these ones just ordered from Amazon might be that.
👤They are the best sunglasses I have used in my entire life, and I have used many more brands. Costa del Mar is a bit dark at first because they are designed to protect the eyes from the sun and glare in the most extreme conditions, but you get used to it in a few minutes. I use it for a lot of things. Costa del Mar is the best place in the world, I don't know how I could recommend these sunglasses more. Excellent.
👤I would have preferred to be glass, they look and feel like plastic, but for the price, I would have preferred to be glass. Don't play the send back and forth game, contact everyone and the brother to get this resolved, because you don't have time.
👤I needed to be able to sight-fish while fly fishing in Colorado so I bought these glasses. I've always been hesitant to buy high end glasses because I break them frequently. These are the best glasses I have ever worn. They are comfortable, have a great polarization, and are not too dark when fishing. I have had a pair of Costa 580p glasses before and they are a much better product, but there is a noticeable weight difference.
👤This is my second pair of glasses, which should tell you that I really like them. I bought them at the recommendation of my eye doctor since I am involved in a lot of outdoor activities. When you wear these glasses, you get superior protection from the sun because they block out sunlight through the lens and the light that typically enters around the frames. My first pair had plastic and my second had glass. If you are getting a "progressive" prescription, you need the plastic lens, and the plastic is supposedly lighter. The Costa del Mar website says that the glass lens is more scratch resistant than the plastic, but I don't think so. The Costa del Mar website states that the block blue and yellow light of the 580's lens cuts haze. It's hard to tell if it's the change from plastic to glass or if it's just the difference between the two. The glasses with the 580G are awesome. They are comfortable and provide great sun protection. I think the crystal frames with the blue finished lens are cool, but they come in a number of colors, and I get a lot of comments on them. If you are fishing or boating, I would recommend a retainer to hold them in place. I put them up on my baseball cap while I cleaned the deck, which was not a good idea. The large ends of the Chums retainer work perfectly.
The coating protects against UV rays. The lens width is 55 millimeters. The lens height is 43.9 millimeters. The bridge is 16 millimeters.
👤The style was good. I had to return them. Unfortunately, they were not used. The arm on the frame was loose and the lens were scratched. It was obvious that they had been returned or switched out. I have had a hard time ordering glasses online. I will not be ordering again. I will just walk into the store. I would like to give them one last chance, but I'm afraid.
👤These look close but are not. I bought a version that was different from the others. The P that should have been added was missing because the RB was etched in the wrong area. The quality was a lot cheaper.
👤I read all of the reviews before buying the product and was a little skeptical but decided to give it a try. I bought the product from Amazon because I thought it would be authentic and trustworthy, and I was sure it was from a seller who sold the same product. Wrong. The two hinges on the glasses were different types. I discovered in the sunglasses hut near by that the glossy finish was authentic. The first sign was that. The second sign was that the engraving on the lens looked like a sticker on my glasses. The left side of the sunglasses had very noticeable defects, and the right side seemed almost perfect. Do you think that a defect like that on their logo and hinges sends a message to their customers? Definitely not. I'm not saying the whole product is fake, but it was definitely tampered with or partially fake. People beware. I don't recommend buying them from Amazon. I'm trying to buy these again from sunglasses express since other reviewers said they were authentic. Hopefully this time they will be made from quality materials.
👤I was ready to invest in a nice pair of sunglasses that would last me a couple years rather than a single summer, at the point in my life where I felt ready to do so. I've had a pair of Ray Bans that I found on the ground and which I really liked. I'm not sure if I received knock-off Ray Bans or if the brand has gone downhill in quality, but these sunglasses were a huge disappointment. They were cheap and light-weight, not like the Ray Bans my friends have that I tried on prior to purchase, or that I've handled in stores, or compared to the old pair I have been using. There was a scratch on the frame just below the lens, perhaps because the frames were so low-quality. I was expecting a sturdy product. These were half a step below the real thing. The frames fit my face and the lens looked nice. I loved the way the glasses looked, but it felt like I was spending $125 on glasses that I could get for a fraction of the price elsewhere. I'm not happy with Ray Ban. If the standard Wayfarers don't work out, I will look for other brands.
The UV400 Protection coating blocks harmful rays. Eliminating reflected or scattered light restores true color. The triacetate lens of the TAC is impact and scratch resistant. Under Product Description of a lens being hit with a hammer, there are related video shorts. The frame is made of metal. The lightweight AL-MG alloy design is ideal for all outdoor activities. You can't feel them on your face at 25g. The product dimensions are listed. The lens height is 40 MM. The temple length is 126 MM and the nose bridge is 16 MM. The length is 5.67 inches. It's a wonderful gift idea for friends and family, and it's also gift packaged ready, making it a practical gift idea. All DUCO customers enjoy a 30 day money back guarantee and lifetime breakage warranty, even if they break these glasses. Click the button to ask a question if you want to contact the seller.
👤I rarely write reviews, but felt I needed to for this purchase. I didn't expect a lot out of the glasses for 20 dollars. I tend to lose them when I am hard on mine. I thought these were pretty cool and didn't look bad on the wallet. I received the item in the mail as promised. A box with a case with the glasses, glass rag, neat little glasses tool and cards for a thank you was part of the package. I thought it would be cool to see something like that for a higher end glasses. I was pleasantly surprised that my oakley's were the same as mine. The glasses were amazing. Very stylish. Quality material is what I would consider. My high end glasses were made of something. They fit my head perfectly. It was a difference. They helped relieve my headaches at the time. I am excited that they don't cost more. I will purchase another pair just to have a different style. I would consider a high end pair of glasses for not much more than you would pay for gas station glasses, and these are for you.
👤I didn't want to take my expensive prescription sunglasses to the beach because I bought these glasses for a week-long vacation. The fit was great, the nose pads were soft and comfortable. They had a nice case, a carabiner, a cleaning cloth, and a small tool. They were great for four days, then on the fifth they got small black dots, and then on the seventh they were ruined. They were exposed to sweat, pool-water, sea-water, and probably a small amount of beer. I never scratched the lens. There are spots in the open areas where the lens is stuck to the frames. They are invisible on the inside until you hold them up to a light source. It's hard to get an image to show what I mean.
👤The supplier claims that the glasses are scratch resistant, but both of them got scratches very easily. Misleading the customers is not a good idea and they should describe the item exactly as it is.
👤The glasses are clear and attractive. The ear pieces are comfortable. These things are really wide. I am a 5'7' athletic build, not a big guy with a normal sized head, and these things looked to be too wide on my face, not a good look. On day 2, one of the rubber nose grommets fell off. I have not heard from the company since I contacted them three weeks ago for a replacement. I think a guarantee on these things isn't worth much. If your glasses don't fall apart like mine did, these could be a really good pair of glasses. They look sharp.
👤I use cheap sunglasses for running, biking, hiking and other activities. For almost 8 years. I've lost them on two different mountain biking trails. I decided to get a new pair of sunglasses because they're barely useful at this point. The first thing I noticed was how uncomfortable the nose pieces were. Despite being narrow, they don't seem to fit well on my head. I'm worried about the quality of the lens. I can only say that they look nice. I'll use them as driving sunglasses because I don't drive long distances and they'll be comfortable for short periods of time. I'll probably try to find an updated version of my old sunglasses. I wish these could have worked.
The dimensions are 56mm (2.20 inches) for the lens width. The temple length is 138mm, the nose bridge is 19mm, and the frame is 139mm. The sunglasses can block 100% harmful UV rays. Eliminating reflected light and scattered light, restoring true color, and protecting your eyes are some of the things that can be accomplished with a Polarized lens. Classic and Fashion Design is designed with classic rectangle lenses, fresh new frame colors, and frame finish to really give it that extra edge. You can easily follow your daily collocation with various colors. These sunglasses add some edge to your style. The DUBERY vintage sunglasses are made from a high quality pc frame, a UV400 lens, and integral nose pads, all of which make it more comfortable and durable. DUBERY customers enjoy a 30 day money back guarantee. If the purchase is not satisfactory, customers can return and get a refund. There is no risk in trying.
👤I bought two pairs of these.
👤Everything was a lot more blue because it was lightweight. The provided cloth wore off the front of the lens within a few weeks. The glasses lost a lot of the sunshadding that they provide after the orange went. It's like wearing glasses. The orange is gone. The story you pay for is what you get. A case, a pouch, a multi tool, and some cheap shades are all included in the price. Save money and buy Walmart shades.
👤The case looks great right away. The blue tint came off with very little use. Making your vision blurry. Don't follow this. I'm sending my own back.
👤The sunglasses I received yesterday met and exceeded my expectations, and I was very excited to receive them. The green and black and silver accents are very pretty to look at and comfortable to wear. I was overcome with a strong and unpleasant smell when I put them on this morning. I thought I was the only one who was affected. I tried to see if the glasses stunk when I took them off, and the plastic seems to have absorbed some kind of smell that I can't quite place. The hard shell case and the cleaning cloth were also smelling of this scent. I didn't smoke, nor had the glasses or case been exposed to anyone that did, so it didn't originate from me, but I'm not sure what it is. When I read the reviews before buying them, I didn't see anyone else complain, but I can't wear them because of the scent. I asked my coworkers for second opinions to see if it was me, and all of them said the same thing. I'm going to try to let them air out a little to see if that helps, but I might have to return them. I was really excited for these glasses, but for them to be unwearable is really disappointing.
👤The light weight frame of these shades is attractive to me. The orange-tinted glasses are fine. I'm okay with the sunglasses and they're under $20 which is great, but I don't think the lens areas should be tinted. I can see where I'm looking in a mirror, but I can't see my eyes in a mirror, which is indicative of thinner than normal glasses. The tint is not as dense as other brands might use. The lack of dual-flexing hinges is another issue. These shades are large enough to fit on my head. These would be uncomfortable if my head were bigger. I don't have a big head. If you're looking to pick up a pair of these, keep in mind that I'm a male and 6' 2” so I have a slightly above average head. Hopefully the manufacturer can look at that in the future, because the hinges that expand outward would fix an issue for people with larger heads. They are said to be too big. I don't agree. They are fairly typical size. I put them next to a pair of sunglasses that I had that were beat up and they're almost the same size. They don't shade my face from the sun when it's high in the sky because they don't call them "oversized". Maybe the manufacturer can look at that in the future, because truly oversized shades would solve that problem. It's a good buy for less than $20 People with smaller heads may not have the same reservations about these shades as I do.
The coating is scratch resistant. The lens width is 62 millimeters. 40 millimeters lens height. Strong, durable, lightweight country style camouflage sunglasses with soft rubberized coat are perfect for driving, hunting, fishing, boating, beach, and outdoors. Excellent protection for your eyes - 1.1mm. The FDA Impact Resistance Standard lens is shatterproof. The benefits of filters glare. Enhances contrast. Improves visual acuity and provides safety. The eyes are sleepy. Enhancing visual clarity is achieved by realistic perception.
👤I wore them 3 times for duck hunting after ordering them. The ends of the ear pieces are shaped around my head. They fit well. I paid for the upgraded lens. I received a pair that either was the base model or the upgrade is a ploy to get 2 dollars from you. I took care to only place them in their case or on my face because they get rough in duck boats. The lens popped out of one of the frames on the 3rd trip out. I would second guess these as any sort of protection after holding it in my hand. I bought a pair of oakleys on clearance for $60 and will keep them around as a junk pair.
👤I love the style of sunglasses that I found. I love the sunglasses and they match my camouflage t-shirt. They fit perfectly and hugged my face to keep the light out of my eyes. If they were in my purse, they would be scratched and I wouldn't be able to keep them in the hard case. The cloth bag case is in the glove box of my car, ready for me to grab and use if I need to, but I don't need sun protection for my eyes. The cleaning cloth is useful.
👤Cheap sunglasses from China. One lens popped out when it arrived. I was surprised I didn't break it. I have not tested them near water. I don't think they are "polarized". They feel cheap because they are. Do you need a cheap pair of sunglasses? Go for it. Are you looking for shades that will last a long time? Look somewhere else. These fit well and look great. I was going for what I wanted.
👤The glasses looked great. The first time I saw the outer coating, it was wiped off. I didn't use the lens cleaning cloth that was provided, and there was a chance that the salt on the lens could have been from the ocean. I was hoping to get a couple months out of them. I paid $19 for these so I'm not upset I put it out there.
👤My husband's glasses were too tight. If your husband is a fathead, they may not fit in. Not bad for the money. Returning.
👤I was shopping for hunting items for my husband when I saw these, they looked just as good in person and my husband wore them while target practicing yesterday evening. He said they made it easier to see target. I like that they are so flexible, but I don't think they will get broken as quickly. When they are out hunting they get excited and the sunglasses take a beating, but they seem to be able to take a beating and be fine. They have a hard case and a cloth case.
👤Not what I wanted, but will do the job as a backup pair. They fit weird. The ear pieces are straight. They have a nice carry case. I would wear them in a pinch. Not everyday.
The coating protects against UV rays. The lens width is 65 millimeters. 40 millimeters lens height.
👤They are not the same as my other pair, but they are not identical. The frame on the left side of the temple is called "saltbreak" and the color of it is black. These did not, and there were some seams that should not be there. I will buy directly from the source or wait for another boat show, this experience has me rethinking Amazon as a legit seller.
👤I go through a bunch of sunglasses, so I don't buy more expensive ones. I decided to try it out because my father in law had a pair, but I was skeptical. I bought another Costa model and was very impressed. The clear look was something I had never experienced before. You don't realize what you don't have. I use those at work, and wanted to try the saltbreak with glass for off work use where I'm less likely to get punched in the face. The glass is two steps higher than the poly carbonate lenses. It's like having an orgasm. Ray Ban, Under Armour, and Oakley are not as good as Costa. You get what you pay for. The others are worn out, so I bought another pair. Still working outside, but is pretty beat up. Wear all the time, no low quality workmanship. I like these glasses. It's great anywhere. Just put the new ones on. Nicccce!
👤I purchased a pair of glasses. Salt breaks from this seller. I was greeted with a smaller box that contained the sunglasses when I opened the box on Amazon. After opening the smaller box and the carrying case, I was greeted with a nice pair of used glasses. They appeared to be used. The fingerprints were all over the frames. There were stains on the inside of the lens from where someone else had wiped them off. I was told I was getting "580G" lens. There is a sticker in the top right corner of the lens. Yes, "P", as in plastic. I am not happy. I will be ordering them from COSTA.
👤COSTA shades are a gift from my oldest daughter. Costa's site was visited by many people and they did not find retainers that fit the wide legs. I acknowledge that I have a responsibility to look after the expensive shades. COSTA should provide retainers that fit the Saltbreak legs. I tried on some of the online ones that I couldn't find retainers that fit. I spent a lot of time online searching for retainers that fit the wide legs. COSTA doesn't sell fitting retainers because they hope shades are lost. I will care for them. Is it possible that I would replace them exactly? It's too expensive, and too many competitive alternatives. I'm past the age of having to impress. The fit is good, but can't say if it's a $250 fit.
👤Everything is in the original box. I was skeptical about the sunglasses but soon found out they were worth it. For daily use, get blue, brown, green, and gray/black for the ocean, rivers, and lakes.
The coating protects against UV rays. The lens width is 61 millimeters. The bridge is 14 millimeters. Polarized sunglasses reduce glare on roads, bodies of water, snow, and other horizontal surfaces. Restore true color, eliminate reflected light and protect eyes. Your eyes are more comfortable and you can see better. It is suitable for any face and high end. It is suitable for Houseboat, Driving, Running, Fishing, Racing, Skiing and Climbing, Trekking and Business.
👤My dog decided to chew to pieces because they are second in quality to the Prada Linea Rossa's. The quality of the lense is fantastic. I bought some red glasses. They are mirrored but well lit. It's difficult to tell where I'm looking. I didn't want to post a picture, but I saw a few people ask about the red lens.
👤I bought a pair of sunglasses that were similar in price to the ones I have seen. The Merry's frame is more fragile than the other brand's frame. Time will tell how they hold up. 2. The Merry's glasses are better than the others. There is no competition here at all and it is a different world of vision. 3. It might be my imagination. I swear that my vision was blurry while driving with the Merry's. I've never had an issue with sunglasses before, and I've always had 20/20. I cleaned them before I left. It made me think of another reviewer who claimed that the sunglasses were causing headaches. This could be an issue. 4. The sunglasses look good and compliment the face well. Even if the frames become an issue they are priced economically enough to be replaceable.
👤I didn't know what to expect when I bought these glasses. I saw a similar pair on Facebook and I wanted to buy one. The price was better than the other pair I wanted, but I thought they looked like the other pair. I took a shot after reading the reviews. I am amazed at the quality. They are heavy to the touch and feel cheap because of the texture and materials used. I went back to Arizona to buy another pair. As they become available, I will be buying several pairs. Consider me a lifetime buyer.
👤After a few months of use, the coating on the inside began to Simply wipe off In blotchy patterns. These are not scratched in any way, they just lost the coating on the inside and now the vision is distorted.
👤I was excited to find a good looking pair of sunglasses, at a reasonable price, with good reviews, so I ordered 2 pairs. These do not work for me. The purple coating on the inside of my eyes makes me have a headaches. It's the strangest thing. This is the first time I've ever experienced this kind of problem. I am going back. The build quality and style of a cheap pair of sunglasses is above average.
👤I bought these in May of last year, and the reviews for them are very good. I used the microfiber cloth that came with them to clean them before I wore them. I always kept these in the protective case. Fast forward to July of this year. These sunglasses were not my favorite. I would only wear them when trying to avoid the suntan lines that most sunglasses stamp on my face after being in the sun for long periods of the day. I wore these sunglasses about two dozen times, and mostly in the summer. The rubber nose piece went missing this past weekend, and one of the screws that holds it in must have been loose. For only wearing these a few times, and taking good care of them, they are not all that durable, and therefore will only get 4 stars from me.
The Tri Acetate Cellulose lens is made of Cellulose. The coating is mirror. The lens width is 60 millimeters. The lens height is 38 millimeters. The bridge is 15 millimeters. Crystal Frames/Smoky Blue Michigan are included. LENS. Flying Fisherman Action Angler sunglasses have triacetate lens and improve visibility. They are lightweight and scratch resistant so you can take them everywhere.
👤I was most concerned about the polarization aspect of these glasses. When I have them on, my eyes rest. They look great. I would buy them again. Why not five stars? In my case, after wearing them for 2 hours straight, they start to hurt the back of my head, especially the left side, because the temple tips of the glasses don't feel that tight.
👤These sunglasses are great for fishing. I have several pairs. Over the last few years, I have bought 7 or 8. I wear them for normal sunglasses. When I take my family and friends fishing, they can use the extra pair I have on the boat because they are great for seeing fish in the water. The clear with blue lens work well in salt water, while the brown lens works better in freshwater. The only issue I have with these glasses is that they start to delaminate and get spots on them after a while. When we wear them in the ocean water they get wet. These glasses are less expensive than expensive glasses. I like the fact that if they break, I throw them away. My investment is still less than the cost of a pair of sunglasses. I hope this helps. I have never called about a warranty.
👤I had a pair of sunglasses for 10 years. This seller ordered this pair from another seller. The frame on these broke and the 2nd timer took off with both hands. Loctite super glue wouldn't bond when I tried to glue back. These were my favorite pair so far. Is it possible to get a refund?
👤There was no case for these, they were in a plastic zip bag. The dark navy blue is not the nice blue that is advertised. It doesn't seem like a huge difference in clarity. Not what I wanted. Disappointed with the advertisement. Will not order again.
👤I have been a fan of Flying Fisherman for a long time and this glasses are good quality, light weight and have an affordable price. I recommend them.
👤I have tried many pairs of sunglasses at this price point, none of them have lasted through fishing and the mirror finish always comes off, my fault. These glasses have lasted me a long time and are still going without a scratch on the mirror finish.
👤The sun glasses are very nice. The frame and color are comforting.
👤Good looking sunglasses. How it improves colors is the most important thing. I own this in amber, but not the "happy" shade of tint. Just wear and tear on my third pair. There is a new spare pair on hand. I spend a lot of time on the water and have had many Flying Fisherman brands.
👤They don't protect your eyes from the sun's UV rays. On a sunny day, I burned my eyes while sailing on the ocean. I was wearing a hat. Suncloud have never burned my eyes in the same environment as my other sun glasses. The product was returned.
The coating protects against UV rays. The lens width is 60 millimeters. The lens height is 42 millimeters.
👤I wore these glasses for a year. The real product of the glass lens that came in was described in the story. Even if the arm screw was tightened, it wouldn't back itself out. They were sent to Costa and fixed for free. And have been great ever since. They are great for fishing and on the water. I get a lot more vibrant colors from the Oakley's lens than I do from the other ones. There is no comparison at this point. The glass is more scratch resistant than the plastic, but the color isn't as good as the Oakley's. I like these because of the heritage that comes with Costas, but they are not as good as Oakley.
👤I ordered 4 pairs of these to pick a frame color and lens that I would like best, then return the others. All 4 pairs show signs of wear when first opened. The Costa lens are top notch and the attached photos show it. It wasn't disclosed as a refurbished product. There's a chance that they are not refurbished and were demo glasses, but they were worn and you can tell with slight changes in the finish and knicks.
👤I have used these glasses twice. The cheap replacement screw fell out when I found it. I only wore them for a week. They were thrown in the trash. The first two Costa glasses were legitimate products. The glasses were similar to a gas station or dollar store. Don't waste your money on junk.
👤I've heard a lot about Costa sunglasses. The Costa Green Mirror Copper Base lens are different from the other sunglasses. The day was sunny with some clouds moving through, so all sunglasses were tested under variable lighting conditions to see how bright the sun was and how cloudy it was. Two pairs of sunglasses had the Prizm Polarized lens on them. The gray and copper base were used for the lens. Prizm technology was not used on the 3 other pair of glasses. There were two gray bases and a copper base. They were better than the Costa. I can't explain it but the Oakley's are better. The temples of the Rinconcito glasses were squeaking when they were removed, but I liked the style and size. They were light for glass and supposed to be very durable. Since these glasses are being returned, I don't know about their durability. The Oakey Polycarbonate lens are more likely to be scratched than the glass Costa. I keep them covered and a glasses case. The only way to find the right lens is to try different ones. It's difficult to test a variety of lens at a store under different lighting and reading conditions. I really wanted to like these glasses and keep them, but the clarity just wasn't there for me. Thanks.
👤These glasses have good eyes. It's definitely not an issue there. The left ear piece was broken when it was received. The frames pop when you pull them off. I have a second pair of Costa glasses. The other pair was so heavy that I couldn't ware them for more than an hour. I have a lot of pairs of Holbrooks. I know what works. Especially for $150.
Large style sunglasses fit over your glasses. UV 400 protects against the harmful rays of the sun. Shades Eyes From the Sides and Top. The weight is 1.7oz.
👤I like these. My eyes are very sensitive to the sun and I wear transitions lens. The transition lens doesn't work in my new car. They fit over my glasses and are great for driving.
👤My brother bought a $42 pair of Cocoons the same day I ordered this $8 pair. We ride a bike a lot, usually 20-40 miles at a time. Several times or more a week, up to 40 mph downhills, 17 mph in hills, decent clip for a 63 yo. We both needed sunglasses. My brother and I both wear prescription glasses, but mine are tinted a bit. My brother has a progressive eye problem worsened by sunlight and UV, which is why he wears over-the-glasses shades. I recommend the Coccoons for my brother because they provide protection from the light and allow him to sleep, even though I am a photophobia and my eyes tear up in the cold or high wind. We rode our bikes after he tried them on in the shop. I noticed at the end of the ride that they weren't square on his nose, but he still said he liked them and they were protecting his eyes from UV. I had him try on my$8 pair and see how much better his vision was, because there is no peripheral corner post or little temple window to look through. The $8 sun glasses have no visual obstruction for peripheral vision, and better coverage for wind screening as well. He bikes in the winter with ski goggles, but I don't. Since the $8 pair are not polarized, you will not think your cell phone died in a panic when you forget that you have your sunglasses on and the screen is black due to the effect of two polarizing screens out of alignment. I've done this many times, but the first time I realized the issue was the sun glass's polarization. My brother was willing to try them out because the fit was good for him over his glasses, and they obviously improved peripheral visibility much better, and actually gave better wind protection as it turned out. I asked if I should order another pair after he made favorable comments. He had no reluctance to say yes, he preferred the $8 pair to the $42 pair he bought a few days before. I decided to try them on myself on a bike ride, since I thought they might not work as well on my head, helmet, or glasses, and I might even want to swap for his expensive shades. He used his new $42 and I wore my $8 wrap-arounds while we took a quick ride down back roads. I was certain that there would be a comfort penalty if I put a second pair of glasses on, since I don't like glasses to sit down toward the end of my nose. The $8 pair fit perfectly with my helmet, and it eliminated all of the peripheral views of direct light. I was in the shade, the lens were clear and sharp, and I can tell you, I'm a pilot who likes his corrections to be 20. The route we took had some nice roads, but also some bad washboard. By the time we got to the bad roads, I was pretty sure the sunglasses were secure, and I didn't have to adjust their positioning. They did not blow loose when I was in a tuck at high speed or look down while riding over washboard surfaces. They stayed put because I put them outside my helmet strap and over the large handkerchief I used under the helmet to keep sweat out of my eyes. We were riding the shoulder of a highway, I was drafting, about 1 foot off my brother's wheel, and we were cruising at a good clip, but he hit some stones with tar on them, and I had to have my face cleaned. I had a rock of this size thrown at me and it saved my glasses. The 20-800 vision is fully corrected and expensive glasses. They make bullet proof glass out of the polycarbonate because I can't find a mark on it. It's hard to say if this product fits everyone the way it fits us, but I think it's close to the lens of your existing glasses, and the temple pieces are flexible enough for many sized/ I was expecting to pay a comfort penalty to wear sunglasses over my prescription glasses, but instead, I was unaware of them until the rock hit my lens, and when we took a water and stretch stop halfway, I realized my eyes were completely relaxed, even though we were riding mostly west. Years ago I used clip-ons to avoid the feeling of a second pair, but they did nothing for peripheral light protection, and it is my understanding that it is peripheral light hitting the cornea and lens of the eye that causes the eye damage we experience as we age. I don't know who makes these, they seem to be a no-name, no-brand. I don't get incentives to write this. This product was a good buy for both of us. Spending doesn't guarantee anyone of getting a better product. Shop smart by reading the reviews. Write reviews if you send back substandard things.
