1. Squiddies Flip Cuban Fishing Tackle

Squiddies Flip Cuban Fishing Tackle

The flip reel by Squiddies is a hand fishing revolution. The fishing reel is designed to be used by newcomers and experts alike. It's a great gift for kids, but also a great choice for advanced fishers who want to be fishing fast and without the hassle of packing tons of gear. Innovative design. The Cuban yoyo and hand fishing reel are now available in the 21st century. The reel has a comfortable grip and floats, it has a safe storage slot for the hook. The flip reel can be used for convenient storage. You can have a group of people fishing in a few minutes. Their reel is designed to be used right out of the box with a sturdy hook and sinker. To get started, flip the reel and tie a loop at the end of the line. bait the hook with the tackle. The hook can be dropped off on the side of a boat. To cast, wet the reel before each cast and point the reel in the direction of the cast. There are online videos. Practice makes perfect. Attach the hook to the safe storage slot when finished. The reel can be flipped for quick, safe and compact storage. The package includes a squiddies flip reel hand fishing reel, 165 feet of line, 1 hook, and a swivel clip. 👤I took this product to a lake near high Sierra to try it out before I included it with my usual gear. Even though it looks like it could be done, casting any distance off the shore line was not going to happen straight off the reel. The silicone is too sticky to allow a smooth feeding of line. I stretched my arms out and put a pile of line at my feet before tossing my line in. I was able to get the line out a comparable distance to a normal rod because of the heavy weight used to cast. The trout liked my hooks and power bait that day. I believe this would work better in small streams and creeks where you can see the fish taking the bait and setting the hook because the weight is so heavy. The pack ability and size are close to none. The cover on my pack allows me to keep one setup ready to go, so I don't have to worry about the hooks. There is a I will have to update this review once I try in a creek or stream.

👤It has flaps to hold the line and rigging in place while it is packed away. The silicone rubber flaps catch the line. It is better when it is wet, but you need to keep getting it wet. It's frustrating to have to keep wet and have the gasket snap it back to you. If you want a good cast, you have to take all the line out and let it lay on the bank. It is easy to hold on to the large spool, which is better for winding back up than a hobo line. Maybe with a lighter rig than what it comes with, it can uncoil the reel. I have only used it in the medium setup.

👤The person who wrote the add for this thing is not a fisherman. It needs a lot of improvement as well. The flip band is on the other side. The line cutter works well, but is on the wrong side. The line is dragged bad by the grippy like silicone. You should cast out the other side with a harder plastic ring, but it is steep and there is a cutter in the way. The product video only shows a ten year old using it to drop a hand line three feet down beside the dock. The thing is convenient, but not for someone trying to catch fish. You could get them with a net. I bought this because it protects the line. It needs a lot of work to be ready for my backpack or survival bag. It won't say what line is on it. I'll replace that first before I hook it.

👤The concept is flawed. I love the design, quality materials, that it packs down small and the fold-over feature for storage, but every attempt to cast is met with the line and hook flinging back at me. The light texture of the bell doesn't seem to help, as the water beads right off the rubber/Silicone, and wetting the bell as outlined by the directions doesn't do any good. I've used yo-yo reels before without any problems. It's a great idea that needs refining. If you're just looking to drop the line over the side of a boat, bridge, or dock, this will work for you, but don't count on casting. I want to like it but can't recommend it as this point, so I'm hoping for a version 2.0 that fixes it.

2. Yoyito Aluminum Pocket Travel Fishing

Yoyito Aluminum Pocket Travel Fishing

Can be hung or nailed to a tree. 20 lbs of tournament grade fishing line. 2x small, 2x medium, 2x large circle hooks and 2x large J hooks. 2x 1/2 oz bank and 1x 1oz egg sinkers. The barrel is medium in size. The package is in your pocket. The pouch has a MOLLE attachment and two inside pockets.

Brand: Yoyito

👤I went to the lake by my house this weekend after grabbing my Yoyito reel and bag of soft plastic lures. When I walked up to the dock, one of the teenagers snickered: "What's that guy doing?" He doesn't have a rod. The joke was on them, because 20 minutes later I hauled this bass out of the water, using nothing but 6 lbs. A mono line, a good hook and a watermelon-green fluke. I use my Yoyito reel all season. The Yoyito is an example of a simple tool that I value. I bring my Yoyito, a few high-quality hooks in different sizes, a handful of small weights, maybe a little float, and a small bag of bait or plastic when I go to the lake. It makes you feel like you're on equal footing with the fish, which is a lot more fun for me. The design and execution of this thing is perfect. The polished aluminum casts like a dream. I can cast a lure 30 yards. I have a small pouch in my pocket. The Yoyito forces you to focus on learning the basics of fishing, and not worry about gear. Picking the right bait is important to finding the fish in the lake. The Yoyito will make you a better fisherman even if you only use a rod and reel.

👤Can't wait to try this thing, thank you so much. I tried it out in the back yard and got a good cast, but it took me a bit to get used to it. It's time to try it out in the ocean. A carry case is nice and portable.

👤This is a very handsome version of the Cuban yoyo. It's high quality, but it's a bit expensive. It's easy to cast. Take it wherever you want.

👤It was very will made. It's a great addition to your backpack.

👤The freshwater model I bought with the black storage bag is the same model that the review fits. The reel is only 3.5 inches in diameter and 13 inches deep. The item description did not include this size information. The size is important because it shows you how small the reel is. At the time of this review, the saltwater and freshwater reels are the same size. The line weight and terminal tackle are the same between freshwater and saltwater. The reel is made from aircraft grade aluminum and has a gold finish. The open side where the line comes off during casting is smooth and perfect for casting lighter lures and it also reduces line wear. It can still be cast a long way even with it's small size. I have been considering buying a hand line reel for a while, but I was able to get the last two Amazon had in stock. I was very happy that I didn't miss out. The freshwater model comes with 20# test mono-filament line and some hooks and sinkers. A nice little bag was used to hold the hooks and sinkers. I only use the bag itself when fishing with artificial baits, because I almost never fish with anything other than artificial baits. The 20# test is too heavy for me. I replaced it with 200 yards of P-line C21 so it would cast light farther. I will use weight lures of between 1/6 oz. and 1/2 oz. And a quarter ounce. I will be using it for crappie and sand bass which don't get big enough to need heavier line. I have been using 4# test on my ultra lite spinning reels for several years and it's an extreme rarity to have my line broken by a fish so even with no drag control, I feel perfectly confident with 8# test on the hand line reel. I'm going to put a 6# test on the second one. I attached it to my wrist with a nice lanyard so that it wouldn't go over. I wondered why some manufacturers didn't make a pocket-able and well made reel when I was thinking about buying a hand line reel. As soon as I saw these on Amazon, I knew they were what I was looking for and I have no disappointment with it. Most of the other models that I could find are made of plastic or a combination of plastic and rubber. All were larger than I wanted. I couldn't find a pocket size. When I watched a video on the collapsible model that the manufacturer recommends you wet the spool before casting to make the line slide off easier, I realized it was not only bigger than I wanted, but probably wouldn't work for me. The need to wet the spool is a serious flaw. The Yoyito reel and light line can cast a small lure without the need to wet it. I mainly fish with a rod and reel. I keep a couple of rods with spinning reels in my car and that won't change. I wanted to use the Yoyito reel when the mood was good. I only tried it on the water one time, and it took me about 20 minutes to get to the shore. I was able to learn how to cast it proficiently and even caught a crappie and a sand bass on a 3/16 oz blade lure. If you're thinking of buying a hand line reel, I'd recommend buying a Yoyito. You won't find another brand like this at any price. The aluminum Yoyito is the best hand line reel in the world.

3. Mechanical Fisher GC 01 Flat Reel

Mechanical Fisher GC 01 Flat Reel

A reel of 60 pounds braided nylon. The spring is strong. It's perfect for automatic fishing reels, snares, and more. It is lightweight and compact.

Brand: Mechanical Fisher

👤I like the small gadgets. They are made of metal. If you throw them around, they can be damaged. They will be fine if you keep that in mind. The kids will like them. They can be hung from trees around the water or off the edge of a dock. I will buy a few more for my camping gear. Not really for big fish. They will feed you. It's great for pan fish. 5 stars because they catch fish. Use smaller hooks to bait them. They will catch fish with bait that is not easy to pick off.

👤It was light and fast and I can say that. The product is of good construction, and I've given it a lot of tests using different weights, and it seems sturdy. It's illegal to use this in my state unless in an emergency situation, so a field test is out of the question for me, even if I did test it, admission of guilt is not allowed in a court of law. It has no problem with anything over 8 lbs. Anything more than that. I stayed away in order to keep it in tact and play it safe because I wasn't sure how it would handle it. Is it possible it would handle more? I'll leave that to someone else. The price was correct, the shipping was quick, and the product is sturdy. What more do you need?

👤I received a faulty product after ordering one. I was replaced for free by the company after I contacted them. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and I got the one that was bad. For a long time, these things about her. The second one worked perfectly. I ordered two more. It's a great survival item for a bug out bag. I have seen videos of guys snaring small games. I haven't tried it yet. The more you buy, the better deal you get.

👤I haven't had the chance to try out this reel yet. My thought was to put it in my survival kit. I have lost a few times while hiking in the woods and mountains, but never overnight, though miles away from where I started. I made a survival pack for myself and thought the automatic reel would be a good addition. The reel seems to work. I think I made a good purchase. I only gave it three stars because I have yet to use it out fishing. I will update this post if my opinion changes.

👤This is a very weak and unreliable toy.

👤Great product. It was made very well. It was shipped fast. Would buy again.

👤Automatic reel. The mechanism is very quick.

👤Yes. I was skeptical at first, but it worked out. A lot of small fish are caught but it will catch a keeper in the future. The trick is to put on a bait that won't be eaten quickly. It's a great idea to keep a survivalist handy, or to keep your tackle box handy. The man is named Harry.

4. Ganen 38inch Portable Aluminum Fishing

Ganen 38inch Portable Aluminum Fishing

It's the best gift to give to a family member for Christmas. Do you want to buy a single rod or reel? You can search the ASIN: B07Y2ZDVWD or B07YFP8KV3. The world's smallest fishing rod can be used to fish anywhere. It's easy to handle a pocket size. It's great for fishing enthusiast or collector. The reel has drag control and a reverse stop. The material is long performance. The perfect fishing rod for the executive kid on the go.

Brand: G Ganen

👤If I could, I would give it a star and not give it a star because I paid for it. It's funny how that works. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

👤The little reel is made of plastic. I bought it to replace a rod that I got a long time ago. If you keep in mind what you are using, these are great little rods. I have caught trout on these with the spin reel combo before. You have to play the fish and wear it out first, you can't just drag them from the water and lift them out by the line or net, these will work surprisingly well. I've had a few of these and they will be better than new if you just use a small amount of super glue and don't glue the poles together. Most of the ones I've bought have problems with keeping the first section out. To fix this, remove the handle and wrap the bottom piece of the pole with packing tape. If you look around, you can find the same combo for around 3 bucks, I got it because I needed it quickly and didn't have time to wait for china's postage to think about shipping it for a month.

👤I gave this a 4 because it is well made and functional as a short fishing pole with a reel to pull the line in, but they are not for casting. I bought a few for the kids who don't cast. A very flexible line is needed because the reel is small. If you want to get a hook in the water, you should have something that is easy to store. The clip is a nice trick, but where are you going to carry the reel? It was a nice toy. It feels like a real rod and reel but is easier to use.

👤The reels are not worth anything. I went through a lot of trouble to thread these reels, but I found out that they were worthless. It becomes worthless even though we were careful. They were thrown in the garbage. It's really cool to have strangers laugh at you while you're on vacation.

👤My nephew has been asking my sister to buy him a fishing rod ever since he went on a camping trip with his camp this summer. My sister has refused to have a small apartment. Where would she store the fishing rod that you may or may not use? I decided to surprise my nephew with a fishing pole because he seems to be into fishing at the moment. I came across this gem while searching. It's perfect because it requires as much space as a pen. The price is a steal. Six dollars is a small price to pay to be crowned the best and at the same time buy something that would not cause my sister much stress. If my nephew changes his mind about fishing, I won't be upset or feel like I've wasted my money. I think it's a complete win-win situation.

5. Herdez Rigged 2 Inch Fishing Accessory

Herdez Rigged 2 Inch Fishing Accessory

The pouch has a MOLLE attachment and two inside pockets. The yoyo is ready to go. HRRIG is a manufacturer.

Brand: Herdez

👤I purchased this item from Amazon for just 15 dollars. I was expecting more for what I got since the retail price was over $60. It was ordered to be an alternative to keeping a fishing pole in the trunk. Think of a wheel with a fishing line attached. A similar Yo-Yo reel could be made with materials at hand. I went to the local Cuban grocery to see if they had any experience with it, but they had no idea what it was. They claim it is worth $58. The hook is a medium size. Adding items that are not used in fishing will make it a usable fishing kit. It is acceptable since it was bought on a whim. The fishing pole was used on a hot day and got a lot of laughs. If the fish were more plentiful or hungry, it would have been successful. It is not an alternative to a fishing pole.

👤It was made to small and dainty. I wish I'd bought another brand because she's and plastic flashing are so old. But one from somewhere else. You will be disappointed if you buy this.

6. Daiwa 0001 4852 Saltist40H Saltist Star

Daiwa 0001 4852 Saltist40H Saltist Star

The maximum drag pressure is 25 pounds. The building is made from aluminum with an anodized finish. There are 4 ball bearings and a roller bearing. The line capacity is not known. J-BRAID: 30/330, 40/260.

Brand: Daiwa

👤The Saltist B&G seems to be newer. For a bit more, a new color and handle for about $20 more than B&G. The drag and gear ratios are the same. I use them for live baiting for cobia, striper, and tuna, as well as for mackeral and clicker, it's nice and loud. New handles seem to be softer, which makes them more powerful. I had to send one back because I didn't have a bag of goodies with me. It had all in it, so order 5 to replace it. I spooled 500 yards of 65lb grand jbraid and 500 yards of 65lb regular jbraid. You can get a Penn Fathom 40nld lever drag for around the same price and have the same amount of line on it and have more drag and bit faster gear ratio. These will do because I'm a Daiwa junkie.

👤This is my favorite reel. The cast is very smooth and quiet. I have them in many different places. I like the idea of offering them in both gear ratios, one high speed for jigs and a low speed for bait and rockfish. The 35 size hold 375yds of 65# 832 Sufix braid that is my line of choice, it is easy to use, strong, and slippery, but you need to be good at your braid knots to use it. The Daiwa Saltist Star line of reels is the best bang for the buck.

👤The reel and diawa proteus wn xhfb rod werepaired. A killer yellowtail.

👤This reel is for a consumer. The reel does not have an auto line guide. I find it hard to fight a strong fish and use my thumb to guide the braid. The reel for a person that uses a convention reel all the time would be more likely to love this reel. I prefer the Daiwa reels that have an auto guide system that distributes the line evenly. Personal preference is all that matters. The drag system is awesome and the reel is silk smooth.

👤My first Saltist was this one. I use this for fishing in the New York Bight area. The retrieve is quicker than the gold Saltist. I have. The drag is smooth. I use it with 25 lbs. mono. On a 7' St. Croix TideMaster inshore casting rod. I've caught bluefish over 20 lbs and stripers over 30 lbs on this combo.

👤Heavy reel with light Clicker spring resistance. Live bait yellowtail killer drag is smooth. The power handle looks sweet. 25lb of drag is enough for a heavy reel. I am going to use penn fathom 30/ 2 speed for about the same price. With fathom you get 40 lbs of drag, it's much lighter and has a better clicker. I've been fishing S.D. piers for 30 years so I can tell you the right decision. tsks for looking out!

👤There is a pin in the middle of the spool. I think it comes in a way of wasting lines. If your line gets stuck on that pin, it can break off as well.

7. Apeks 45 Meter Finger Spool

Apeks 45 Meter Finger Spool

The flared design allows for ease of winding while wearing gloves and an outer grip. Additional line can be added if required. The leader of the line is high to avoid damage to the main line. Line is sewn to increase strength. The orange line is the best for low light conditions.

Brand: Apeks

👤If you use a reel on every dive, you will not be concerned about the extra costs because you will love it. Looks great. It feels good. The color code is for line length. The idea is great. The line is bright.

👤This was a great piece of art. We spent a week in the Caribbean. It was easy to store this spool in a pocket and snap it on to the BCD. I used mine to deploy my dsmb a couple of times and it was easy to reel in. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a quality spool.

👤I use these for ascents off deep wrecks. It was very easy to handle.

👤Good quality, but I wish it came with instructions on how to securely attach.

👤These are expensive, but they are very thought out, and that is worth a lot in an item that is intended as safety gear. Apeks has a reputation for making things that work. You know what you're getting with this item.

👤It is easy to deploy with cold water gloves.

8. PLUSINNO Unwinding Function Spooling Versatile

PLUSINNO Unwinding Function Spooling Versatile

100% satisfaction guarantee. The Plusinno Fishing line Spooler is a multi-function tool that can be used to reel in both spinning and baitcasting reels. It can transfer the line from the line to the fishing reels, and the line from the fishing reel can be quickly pulled onto an empty spool and stored. You can spool on the smooth surface, such as glass, tiled floor, if youAssembling with the Desktop, since the line spooler Stand Built-in anti-slip mat, the clip is more stable and not easy to loose. It can be assembled with the rod clip, and you can use the reel to reel in action. The fishing line spooler can do both functions. The conical design adaptor can be used for different sizes of line spools. The screw rod has a length of 100mm, plus two conical adaptors, making it suitable for most of the spools. The perfect line tension is maintained while the adaptor rotates with the line spool. It's versatile for both Thick and Thin Rods. If you have a thick rod, you can use a rotating gasket. The thin rods are 0.2-0.6in/6-15mm in diameter. If you're tired of hand-spooling the line, you can make it easy. The Plusinno Line Winder is the best choice. The fishing line spooler is a must have for any avid fisherman. Don't miss this great gift, your father, husband or son will enjoy this time saver.

Brand: Plusinno

👤I was unable to use the product advertised because of the cross- threading of the adapters. A waste of money. I had to change what I already had. It is hard to return junk because the store near me is not open on the weekend. I have to eat it.

👤I've played with this on a few different poles. I have thought about it a bit, but I don't think you need a line spooler if you are just trying to do something. It worked well for the basics. It's possible to leave the spool on the floor one side up and reel through the first eyelet, but this thing eliminates the issue of knocking over the spool, which can certainly be an issue, and it eliminates the problem of having to make sure the spool is flipped the correct way. After playing with it a bit, I came to the conclusion that there were only a few twists that had accumulated. Enough for me to notice, not enough to actually be a problem. I usually run my rods out at least a couple of times before I use them in the field because I pay close attention to that sort of thing. I was considering giving a 4 star review but decided to give a 2 star review. I was going to waste the line on the stick. This thing gave me a way to make the line useful again, and it came with one. That made me happy. Saving enough to get a reel was important to me, and I try to make sure I don't waste line. I connected the spooler to the desk and left the stick on the floor. I was able to do the same thing with another reel that was useless because it got sticky. It's nice to not have to pull it off and leave a birds nest on the floor. I tried both ways of mounting the spooler, and both worked well. It got rid of a couple of problems for me, but not every day.

👤I think this is a tool that is overlooked by some people. This will help you restring your reels quickly and easily. I loosened the fishing poles this morning. The old lines were removed and the new lines added with the fishing spooler. My son has a fishing pole. I used the desk mount because the pole mount wouldn't fit on the dock demon. I used a mount on my fishing pole. It worked well as well. I thought man when I started getting frustrated because the line was too loose on the spooler and kept unraveling. It would be nice if they had a set screw to tighten it. I recommend this to my friends because I know how much they struggle restringing their rods.

👤Have you ever tried to change out your line on your reel? I have. You can use a pencil or pen to create tension by holding the box of new line under your foot. Pulling the old line by hand is tiring. This is an inexpensive solution. I was able to attach the new line to my reel under tension. This was very easy to do and did not require help from my kids. It can be attached to the table, but it is not as stable as using it on my fish pole. It's easy to remove line, but I usually want to discard the old line. They provide an empty spool for this. There is no easy way to remove the old line from that spool, so you have to hand remove it from that spool to discard it. I will probably pull the old line by hand. I gave it a 4 star for ease of use, low cost, but took a star away because the function isn't as useful as it seems. I needed to take off line and save it, so I swapped for braid. I used the function to do that. It worked well. I will upgrade it to a 5 star because it does the trick.

9. Piscifun Spinning Weight Powerful Fishing

The Piscifun Flame sa is a super value reel because of the braid ready spool. The most cost effective fishing tackle is provided by Piscifun.

Brand: Piscifun

👤The Flame 2000 was used for the first time today. I used to be a strict Pfleuger user, but I am always nervous about using 888-282-0465. The flame has changed my opinion. I need a reel that is 888-282-0465. The Flame is the perfect size for me, and I like fishing for pike and bass. I use a light weight rod and 6 lbs fireline. The reel was a champ from the first time I cast it. Smooth line let-out and line retrieval. There is no noise while casting or reeling. The drag worked perfectly when the fish started throwing their weight around. The reel is lightweight and durable. The Flame immediately took away my hesitations when I used it for the first time. I would recommend this reel to anyone who is new to fishing. It can be depended on when hooking into a good fish. It's AFFORDABLE! You are getting a quality built reel. I will be buying more ice fishing gear. I was very happy with my purchase of the Flame. I highly recommend it.

👤What can I say? This is a great reel. This one is just as good as the others, and I have more than 10 reels from them. I bought this reel because of other reviews and my own experience with other Piscifun reels. It is a great reel, despite its low cost. It has the drag power I need. I use this reel for a lot of fish. The reel looks good on my rods and I get a lot of compliment from my fishing buddies and strangers on the water. I have caught a lot of fish on it and it works perfectly every time. I'm looking forward to getting out with it again and catching more fish. I recommend you try one of these reels for yourself.

👤I picked up two of these reels. The reel is smooth, the drag is not rough, and it can cast a country mile. Being a braid ready spool, it lines up perfectly when you put line on it. I like the fact that I don't have to have two different lines in the boat for one to be the backer. It is a perfect all around ratio. The reel is light and can be cast all day, I love that. I use the 3000 series for a drop shot and it works great. I use a senko on a flick it jig to skip docks in the 2000 series. I like the fact that the reel can be used for all of these techniques, and it also has the ability to back reel big pigs if you need to. I only have stuff in my boat that I can rely on, and I will definitely have a few of these in my boat. It's highly recommended to everyone from the beginning.

👤I am a marine Biologist. I fish! I bought this reel for my son. Initially it felt smooth, but he was delighted because it looked so cool. He has only used it 4 or 5 times, but he took care of it after each time. However, it failed on its last use. The handle would jam up if it wasn't turned smoothly. I know my way around a reel. The bearing was completely rusted when I took it apart. They wouldn't put sealed bearings in. Almost all of the gear teeth were broken off. See the pics. Friends were invited to go fishing that day and show off his new reel. It was a lousy fishing trip.

10. Mechanical Fishers Fishing Package Trigger

Mechanical Fishers Fishing Package Trigger

It's perfect for camping, hiking, or any other survival kit. Made in the USA. The Trigger mechanism is very sensitive. The frame is made of galvanized steel. Pre-Spooled with 12 to 18' of Test nylon line. The tension of the spring.

Brand: Yo Yo Reel

👤The reviewers who haven't had a chance to use these yet, they look like they will work. Please don't review a fish till you have caught it. Quality control issues and some that don't have the best spring/reel action are some of the issues I have used these for. Maybe this can be solved by putting your own line on them. You can't beat the ability to catch fish when you are doing other things around camp, and these traps do that. We've had many dinners thanks to these and they are well worth the price. I wish there was a more expensive version. I buy a few more every year because these don't last very long.

👤These things work well but it is not easy to use. They are very easy to bait up and toss in the water, but it is difficult to set the 'trigger' to catch fish. A trout or hungry bass will hit hard enough to set the trap, but a catfish or a carp will tease the bait right off the hook. It is up to you to figure it out. I have had my bait stolen many times before figuring out how to set thetrigger correctly. These things work. I recommend this product, but take some time to figure them out.

👤This didn't have any instructions for use and didn't have any packaging. The description and picture offered in the ad were not what these were. These were thrown into an Amazon box without any instructions for use. This was disappointing. When the product showed a package with instructions on the Amazon ad, why should I have to do research on how they work? This is ridiculous. I'm very unhappy with the seller, if you don't provide what I thought I was getting, at least have the decency to include an instruction page. I don't know how to set them, so I can't review whether or not they work.

👤The reels work as they should. I've tested them a lot. They work as they should if they are taken in the field. I received them quickly and at a fair price. I am very happy. I like to go out on survival trips. I need to catch dinner while working on other things. Fantastic purchase!

👤I bought these fishing yoyos for my husband. He took them on a fishing trip with his dad and cousin. They liked them, but they had to be careful because it would be easy for the line to be tripped. I would recommend them.

👤After catching a fish, I threw them in my bag and found they were rusted. I should have hung them to dry before packing them away.

👤These work well. Imagine all the things you can do in a survival situation. These guys are fishing for you. Set snares, build your shelter, gather firewood. You can also fish the coast with them. Tie them off with a rope across the bay or cove. You're fishing open waters!

Brand: Ka-bar

👤I found this while looking at the website. I am familiar with the classic design of the wood hobo reel and have been eye balling some designs for a while. It is made of a very tough material and it won't crack or split like wood when exposed to heat and humidity. This is a solid backup fishing system. It can take some abuse but still floats. My friends were as a kid. I used to scrounge up items at the local fishing waters and make something out of them. We spent a lot of time in the summer catching bugs and fishing for bluegill, bass, crappie, perch, and even a few catfish out of the lakes and ponds within the bicycle range. I didn't catch any monster fish on my first trip out. I had a blast and it brought back my summer memories. I'm considering a challenge to see how big of a fish I can land on this thing. If you're not familiar with this type of fishing, it can be a little difficult, and it's easy for the fish to break your line. When you hook a fish, it's important to keep your line free of tangles. I posted a video on the internet showing a little of how it works and what to expect on my first trip out. The backpack kaster field test is on the channel. If you are going after a large fish with a heavy line, keep in mind the direction the line winds on the top, it's unlikely that you'll end up with a large fish on the reel. There are some specifications. The line clip and 3.7oz without weighs in at 4.2oz, which includes 50yds of 10lb spiderwire braided line. If you plan on storing this away in a bug out bag or survival pack, braided line will not coil and bunch up over time like mono filament will. At the widest point, the length is just under 2 inches. The inner compartment is about 4 1/2 feet deep and has a different shape at the bottom. There is an O ring in the compartment. There is enough room for a decent emergency fishing kit in the picture I show. Take care of your lines.

👤When I saw this item, I thought I'd give it a try because I was skeptical about buying a micro fishing rod. I was looking for something like this to add to my survival pack and not worry about it getting damaged. It helped me catch a decent catfish.

👤I love it, can't wait for a large fish on this, put a razor blade, split shot, mini bic, hooks, jigs, in the handle, and then wrapped the handle in 550 cord. The mini survival kit is perfect.

👤I am really impressed with this kaster. I expected subpar materials and a cheap item that would snap because of the hollow handle. I was reminded of why Kabar has been around for so long when I took this guy out of its packaging. The unit is strong. It feels like you could bash a shark over the head with a tool. It is heavy for what it is and it is solid. The guy is not breaking anytime soon. I accidentally dropped it on concrete and it didn't scratch him. When I bought that tactical spork, I should have known better. It's fifteen dollars. It is made in the USA. The backpack fishing system has a 5 star rating and is a great deal. I will update it after I use it properly. You can always trust kabar to make a great product.
